Review The turnstiles get very busy just before
kick-off. They are a tight fit but most people can get through them. Up the
stairs to the
main area under the stand, it is long and narrow with a large catering area and
bar area. The bar can get very crowd so if you are looking for a drink
before the game get there early. The catering area was clean and the staff
were friendly but not much of a choice 'Burgers and the like' the price were the
normal for a football club. The food was hot but the pasties I had was a bit
soggy from sweating in the warping. The view from most of the stand is good
with some pliers in the way depending where you sit. The seats are comfortable and unlike other
areas of the ground spacious. The stand is well steward and they are helpful
and friendly. Half time both the catering and bar area get packed out. The toilets
were clean. After the game stand empties fair quickly.
Review I decided to give The (Carling) Grange End
a go. The one change outside is a high metal fence separating the home and
away fans. I was searched on the way in which I still find annoying. The turnstiles were busy As you go in you can see
the new catering area (the old small area was
shut down)was clean and the staff were friendly but not much of a choice
'Burgers and the like' the price were the normal for a football club. Clarks
Pies were on sale at £1.30 a bit steep but to finally see them on sale at
Ninian Park was great and gets a extra star for that the food we had was hot.
The Bar was fairly busy and I was in early, towards kick off it was packed out
but the staff were able to keep the beer following. Next to the bar is the The covered Grange End looked
bigger than in did in pictures and from the Grandstand, the view was good
with some pliers in the way depending where you stood. The atmosphere was great; half time both the
catering and bar area was packed out with people waiting the whole of half
time to get their cup of tea and a burger. The toilets were portocabins they
were adequate but a big improvement on what we used before. The game was shown
on TV in the beer tent along with a full results service from Sky. There are
only there entrance off the Grange End and at slows the flow of the fans on
the away out a bit. The stewarding was mush better than last season.
