THE WORLD OF CARDIFF CITY  FANZINES

Fanzines are a very good way for fans to have they say in their particular football team but to some club chairman it seems to be anti them for put the club down. The football Fanzine scene as became part of the culture and are popular among fans and more often a better read an match day programmers. There's been a number of City Fanzines some great and others well what can I say. Zines could soon be over taken with the computer and the ability to build  and publishes a Website. But I still like a read at half time

BLUEBIRD JONES 10/10 STOPPED PUBLISHING
This as to be the best fanzine/comic produced. I remember buying it at the Shrewsbury 92/93 season game when we were promoted. Some of the characters were great, 70's Man was the best (the time warped football hooligan), Splott Girl, The Dudes, Sunday Footballers and much more. After only 5 additions it disappeared. The best comic since the Victor, Battle and Warlord
THIN BLUE LINE 9/10
One of only two Fanzines that is still up and ran, like most its in the A5 format and full with reports on away games, interviews with players and keeps you up to date with the issues at  mean something to the fans.
BARMY ARMY 9/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
Came out in 00/01 season with a very fast turn over. It was out nearly at every home game. All the normal content Editorial, Views from the Taff Riviera
WATCH THE BLUEBIRDS FLY 9/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
This publication is the grand daddy of all Cardiff Zines it the oldest 88/89 the first copes appeared. Like the others it as a mixer reports and articles on Cardiff and trips to watch Wales play and long may it continue.
O BLUEBIRD OF HAPPINESS 8/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
This was a very good read with lots of articles to like at and match reports and a letters page called Blue Moon which was something lacking in other
BOBBING ALONG 7/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
This one I must have caught towards the end of its run. It started off as a general fanzine covering Welsh football but by issue 8 it was more or least a City zine. It was a good read with good articles, match reviews and a very interesting interview with Richie Morgan ex city player and manager.
INTIFADA 7/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
A very good read with a good sense of  fun and articles like the Satanic Verses and spoof writers Karl Heinz Rumourmonger. It had a good run before disappearing from the scene.
THE AWAY DAY BLUES 6/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
You could only come across this at away games  but the fanzine was a good and as I saw only two copies they were fair.
COVER THE GRANGE -10/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
God I must have been drunk when I bought this and I've afraid I did buy it. There was only one issue to my knowledge. Someone trying badly to jump on the fanzine band wagon and fell off.
DOING THE AYATOLLAH -10/10  STOPPED  PUBLISHING
As above and more I got issue 1&2 and 2 was the same as 1, I was drunk again.
