Much
of this site is devoted to the more usual South Wales
freight scene, however just occasionally I manage to
capture more exotic prey on film. These opportunities
provide a welcome change from the monotonous freight
movements and
Units that now dominate the South Wales area.
EWS is
seeking to reduce its class 37 fleet and only 17
examples now remain in traffic, but it still has use for
the versatile 37/4 sub-class especially on the Rhymney valley
commuter services. After a
spell working for Arriva Trains Northern 37411 returns for
duties it knows well, it's seen here leaving Rhymney on
December 31st 2004. It's rumoured that these services
will only last until April. EWS is however looking to make more use of
its now redundant class 67's for passenger services, charters and special events.4Read
